In his 3 hour CEU board approved Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training, mental health professionals will learn effective fundamental skills to incorporate in their practice of treating a variety of different mental and behavioral health related disorders. He will provide a conceptual framework and interventions to use in your day to day practice in working with a variety of diverse clientele.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

The training will emphasize the following key concepts:

• Breaking down the fundamental components of CBT
• Identifying when is CBT use is most appropriate and what is CBT effective in treating
• Identifying common cognitive distortions.
• An overview of the different types of CBT are there
• How to set up a therapy session using CBT.
• Effective CBT interventions.
• Learning about relapse prevention.
• Ending treatment

THE PRESENTER: Steve Guglielmi, PCC-S

Steve Guglielmi is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from The Ohio State University. He then went on to receive his Master of Science in Education in Community Counseling from University of Dayton.

Steve transitioned from his CEO role at Nemeth Counseling to his current role as acting Regional Clinical Director for the Central Ohio Region at LifeStance Health. He has 20+ year's experience in the mental health field. His extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Clinical Supervision, Couples Counseling, and Leadership has shaped his career path.
